It's an idyllic Saturday, on paper.
I woke up and felt the urge to feel some tendus and battements and retires on my bare ankle, and so I did for thirty minutes or so
And then I drank some coffee and had a biscotti while reading the cover story for the March 2021 Vogue, with the legendary Gigi Hadid on the cover, her post-pregnancy glow emanating off of every single photo
I often wonder if I will ever be that lucky
A long run on the trail kissing my apartment building hardly did any magic
but the book I was listening to, Bravey by Alexi Pappas, brought me nearly to tears
especially all the stuff about growing up with a mother suffering from an inexplicable mental illness
I don't know what's gonna happen to me
except the grapefruit-white wine mimosa staring at me from my kitchen counter
there are some things in life that call to you
and some things you have to hang up on
