Opa!
Yasu!
I attended the Thirty Ninth Annual Greek Festival last night, at the Greek Orthodox Church in New Orleans. I was going to do some late night blogging, but I was busy with..."something else" about which I will tell you all about in a subsequent post.
So stay tuned for that!!!
Just like every year, Greek fest was very delicious and very entertaining. This year however, I visited the beautiful Byzantine style cathedral, small but very cozy and heavenly.
It was like AP Art History all over again.
The Byzantine chants were intriguing, and I just love how vaulted churches have great great acoustics!!!
Greek food is great and all, but personally I like the dancing more. The synchronized footwork, and the determined look on Stavros's face before he starts flipping and bending and jumping, AND HE WINKED AT ME!
Made my night!!!
Efharisto,
Shreya
