Break's over!

As you might have noticed, I took a little Mardi Gras break, from school, blogs, everything.

My parents left to Atlanta for a friend's daughter's wedding so my sister and I were home alone for a...gasp...FORTY-EIGHT HOURS!

I did the cleaning; she did the cooking.

And thus, (even though we both kinda lack "curves") together we make one "well-rounded" housewife.

Yesterday was Mardi Gras however, and though my enthusiasm for parades has dampened, I still encouraged Daddy to take us all out to the Metairie parades.

The weather was borderline dismal....we left after Argus, towards the end of the Krewe of Jefferson parade when it started to drizzle.

The highlight of my Mardi Gras, however, was dancing, the Jhalak Dikhlaja Grand Finale, and my sister.

Yeah parades are great...but they would be even better if there was a Bollywood float followed by a Bollywood dance troupe marching along, dancing to "Munni Badnam Hui."

(Let's start by changing this pink horsie's nametag, to one that reads "Sheila Ki Jawani.")
