Crappy Days

...start crappy, and usually end crappy too..

This morning I got into an argument with my dad about toasting up a piece of Arabic bread for breakfast.
And from that point on, I just KNEW my day was ruined.
I was trying to tell Jasmine that in first period, but she said, "Oh no, Shreya. You never know what could happen,"
But trust me Jasmine; I KNOW when my day will turn out to be one of those days when I wake up just to count down the hours to go back to sleep.

I barely did any work during first period, same goes for second period....actually same goes for the entire day (minus Calculus, ofcourse). When I go without accomplishing anything at all, for more than 8 hours...I consider that a WASTE of day.

I thought my day would get better since my class at UNO ended half-an-hour earlier than normal, but I just spent my extra time waiting outside in the dark, cloudy weather for my dad to pick me up. Better than sitting in class, not better than practicing dance, which is what I was looking forward to.

And when I got home around 6:30 ish, I got into a hugeee fight with my mom, and ended up crying.
Don't ask why.

The point is, that even on days like these, there is always SOMETHING to smile about, something that made the day just a little special, SOMETHING to cherish and tuck away in a little treasure chest of memories.

My friend Mirandy (check out her blog here : http://ifonlywecouldparty.blogspot.com/ ) facebooked me a link (which is here : http://content.photojojo.com/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/ ) about taking a picture every single day of your life.

The project is supposed to help you document your "accomplishments", but to me I think it just reinforces the importance of those little things in life, that "make your days".

So I'm starting today:

Day 1: Monday, February 21,2011

Today was the first day of our school's "Student Council Week", and on everyday of the week, student council members from every single grade are designated a certain color, in which to don accessories, shirts, shoes, whatever..(you know as long as you're still wearing the uniform and what not..).
Today was PINK DAY (which happens to my the color of almost everything I own, thanks to the obsession I had with the color during my elementary school days), and the handsome young man next to me, the Senior Class President, looked too adorable in his rose pink towel cape...and this picture puts a smile on my face.

What's even more interesting...
is that today is President's Day, and Sean and I look incredibly presidential in this picture, don't we???

Yay for presidents!

Eh, I guess this picture thing may just work.
or I could stick to dancing my sorrows away.
