Okay maybe nowww
Just maybe I can start posting regularly..
The first nine weeks of junior year have passed..rather quickly I should admit...
And, for now, my testing is overrrrr!
Oct 9- SAT
Oct 13- PSAT
Yesterday- ACT
Ofcourse tommorow is my AP Psych test, but Im okay with giving myself a break today...
Speaking of which, today wasssss...
A very fulfilling day.
In the morning I helped out at the local temple, with the adorable Pre K children....
Then I came home and practiced our Thillana piece for dance class...
Then I went to Srinee's (she's the head of the Indian Association of New Orleans Youth Committee) to practice and teach some kids the Indian national anthem
Where I met some awesome people
And then I came home to study psych
and Psych always makes Shreya happy. :)
It is my unascertained theory that cartoonists secretly major in Psychology but pretend like they come up with the funny, but oh so true depictions of human nature in their daily comic strips off the top of their heads.

Either way, I still very deeply respect and revere these artist cum journalist people.
I've always been a self professed comic strip addict, but now that I can recognize some fundamental psychological concepts in a lot of my favorite comic strips, I can't seem to not read the "funnies" everyday.
Trust me I try. "No Shreya, you have a ton of Calc homework....don't waste your time with the comics," I tell myself as I peruse the Living section of the Times Picayune, our local newspaper.
It's been long since I've acknowledged that I may have a serious problem. I can stare at a cartoon for...Idk...10-15 minutes maybe...analyzing the way the artist portrays body language and humor through his use of line...or what maybe the artist was thinking about when he or she drew the strip..
Oh and I ALWAYS feel this urge to cut out comic strips that closely relate to me or anyone I know, but then I always get distracted and ,as a result, forget to do so. By the time I've remembered the strip again my dad has neatly sorted that day's copy away, among his stack of old yellowed newspapers in the garage.
(When the stack gets REALLY big, he takes it to this recycle bin by this church place.)
Sometime last week, I saw this ZITS strip in the paper and wanted to cut it out and save it:

To glue on to my Calc notebook.
But ofcourse that got me thinking about how I need to practice rate of change problems before the test on Thursday...
Which reminds me...
...of my pending Calc homework....
which is why I'm going to end this post very abruptly and SAY GOODBYE!!
So yeah, I guess that means you can go and waste your time on Facebook now. :D
